Balustrade a balustrade or balaústre (from the Greek balaustion; Latin balaustium, “flower of pomegranate”) is a moulded shape in natural stone or artificial stone, which supports a parapet of balconies and terraces, or stair banisters. The set of balusters is called balustrade. The artificial stone, also called stone mortar, cultivated stone, or rebuilt stone, is an alternative to natural stone, practically it is a special type of mortar of texture and color that perfectly imitates natural stone. Composed of washed sand, silica, different colours of marmoline, cement, water (for setting) and special additives (plasticizers, fluidifiers etc.) to improve the aesthetic qualities and resistance.
