Balustrade and fences with an imitation woodgrain finish giving the apperance of natural wood. A balustrade or balaústre (from the Greek balaustion; Latin balaustium, “flower of pomegranate”) is a molded shape in natural stone, prefabricated concrete or artificial stone, with a woodgrain finish which supports the parapet of balconies and terraces, or stair railings. The set of balusters is called a balustrade.
